Next time I try this I'll probably calm her when she's "pretty hurt", then count to 3 and have all the casters surge 5 target her at once.  If you have any other ideas, please add them here.  I really don't like the idea of risking killing an entire big group for a piece of [[Quarterstaff, "Wanderer"|mana gear]].

Noctopia shift takes you to the Shiftwatch Orb. Extremely painful room, made better by the snipers surrounding it. Send the tanks together, then have the casters follow a short while later. If the Planar Anchor is already in Noctopia you're much better off going that route. That will take you directly to Under The Stars.

Once shift is clear go s, d, w to find a room with a hidden down exit that can be bashdoor'ed. Going down from here takes you to a Lloydable room in Under The Stars, which has smaller mobs, is homeable, and is noregen.

From here go all north, then west, and more north. Eventually you'll reach a room with a red room desc, but it'll be part of the Pit Of Blood And Chain area, so you can regen and track. I think I might have had to go up or down to enter Pit Of Blood And Chain, but I'm not sure. In any event the path was pretty linear.

From here more north, then east, and north. Eventually you'll come to an apparent deadend with a hidden grate up, going through that puts you in the jail area.

I can't remember exactly how I got to the arena from the jail area, but I know that the up exit was due east from Corpse Collector (who shows up as an unbelievably huge golem on scan) is lvl 230, so avoid fighting him unless you know what you're doing. He also has a tendency to kidnap groupies and hide them somewhere else in the area.

Once you're in the arena Duke Malafont is trackable. To get there head as far north as you can, and when you can't go north, go east. Right outside of his room seemed relatively safe for napping. Note that Duke Malafont and the rest of his room are reboot only.

Keep company with Duke Malafont is Paehandra Of The Moon. When she is almost dead she casts martyrdom. This kills most of the group when it happens. Obviously you want to avoid this if at all possible. Here's what we've tried so far:

  • Scramble. Doesn't work because she's tranquil.
  • Lightning arrows. She has arrow dodge, so you can't rely on this working.

Next time I try this I'll probably calm her when she's "pretty hurt", then count to 3 and have all the casters surge 5 target her at once. Another idea is to bash/throw her, then nuke her while she's in lag. If you have any other ideas, please add them here. I really don't like the idea of risking killing an entire big group for a piece of mana gear.

Beside the gear that I have enough info to make articles for, here's what else we got:

  • signet of malafont: ticket
  • suit of dress plate -50 ac? on body
  • half of the sundered ring: ticket
