Disambiguation pages are used when more than one page shares a single name.

For example, in Avatar MUD, Panacea is the name of both a potion and a spell; so, here in Avatar Wiki, three pages are used for Panacea: Panacea (potion) for this potion, Panacea (spell) for this spell, and Panacea to help Wiki visitors to find whichever of these two pages they may be looking for.
